I recently celebrated a milestone birthday. Yes FIFTY!! It's still hard to grasp some days, because I still feel exactly the same as I did in my 30's. Although now the things that bothered me back then, I wouldn't even give a second thought to. I'm a lot wiser now, slow to react when things upset me. And slowly starting to cherish small things. I can honestly say it feels really good to have come this far and still feel like I so much more to offer. God has blessed me so much that at times I get scared and feel undeserving. I praise and thank him continually because it is through his grace, mercy and everlasting, unconditional love that I'm even able to write this blog about how good he's been to me. So I thank you Father!!!

My husband, my best friend and love of my life threw me the most amazing birthday party Los Angeles has ever seen. We shut this city down. Please enjoy the pictures. I want to personally thank everyone involved with organizing and making it memorable.

Hello,

It's been a very long time since my last blog entry. I said I was going to do better so there is no time like present.

2014 was an awesome year!!! I feel so blessed and humbled to have experienced it. I feel closer to God in a way I have never been before and I plan on growing even closer. I want to shout from the mountain top how good my lord and savior has been. Not just to me, but to my family as well.

My health is really good condition, although I had to eventually have my thyroid completely removed and will be taking synthroid for the rest of my life, I still thank god because I feel so much better.

My husband is back home with our family and friends where he belongs. We did lose my father in law this past summer, but he fought the good fight and has gone to live with the lord. I miss you pops. words will never express the gratitude I have for allowing god to place you in my life.

Work has been outstanding and is starting off to be just a great as last year.

I completed my first major network series EMPIRE for Fox Television,  created by Lee Daniels and Danny Strong, produced by Brian Grazer and Francie Calfo for Imagine Television. What an amazing experience. Empire premiered on Wednesday January 7th to record breaking numbers.

Leah Daniels Butler Interview

I am so honored to have received my very first EVER award for casting. The Hamilton Behind The Camera Award for casting LEE DANIELS', THE BUTLER. To be recognized for doing what you love to do, is a really good feeling. The awards ceremony was Sunday, November 10th at the Wilshire Ebel Theatre. It was my first red carpet and press. I think I did okay. My big brother, sister and one of my very good friends were there to support me. I was extremely nervous but in a good way. I am so grateful to have been apart of such an amazing project. 

Today is 7 weeks post op and the time is flying. I'm up and about. I've gone back to work and it's healing nicely I think. Although my face is a little swollen on the right side, I'm hoping that will eventually go back to normal.

Today is 16 days after surgery. I'm doing very well. And I'm happy with the outcome. I wish I could have got them both done at the same time so it would be over with. But such is life.

I had a little bout with a stomach virus, so I didn't post for a few days. I'm on a anti-inflammatory so I feel a little bloated. I'm ready to get back to working out and just working period!

So it's day 4 post op. And I am posting photos and video. I look a hot mess, but otherwise I feel pretty good!
